The Northside Merchants Association forms the last of the trio of parades that traverse Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue on Lundi Gras. Rolling since 1989, this parade offers MLK-area businesses the chance to participate. “We probably throw more candy than any other parade,” leadership said.
This year’s theme is “Africatown USA.” Expect 36 units, including a motorcade.
In 2025, the Northside Merchants parade was held on March 3 and included nearly 36 units.
