Created in 2017, the Mobile Mystical Friends was founded by Charles “Chuck” Hall, a retired Mobile Police officer. MMF is not a mystic society. It’s a parading group that, much like the Mobile Mystical Revelers, eschews much of the structure and bylaws of the average mystic society. “I built it on the concept known as KISS,” Chuck said with a laugh. “That means Keep It Simple, Stupid.” The Mystical Friends swelled to a membership of 160 in about 90 days. The group is co-ed, and many people ride with their spouses. Chuck said he believed that was the main attraction. “So many people want to ride with their spouses,” he said. Sadly, Chuck died in September 2019 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. But the group he created goes on.
In 2026, you can expect 10 floats, all rented from other organizations.
In 2025, the Mobile Mystical Friends rolled on Feb. 22 after the Mobile Mystics and the Mobile Mystical Revelers. The parade included nine floats rented from the Conde Cavaliers and some Joe Cain groups.
