Miracle on the Bay

2026 Parade: Monday February 9, 2026, 6:30 pm
Parade Route: Route A

Miracle on the Bay is a fundraising parade that has rolled behind the Order of Venus since 2019. Currently, they share OOV’s parading permit, which is why they are not listed on all parade schedules. They use rented floats to raise money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2025, MOB was able to donate $65,000. In addition, a local family impacted by childhood cancer rides on each float.

Along the way, iHeart Media has been a potent sponsor of MOB, and Mobile-based Aubreigh’s Army Foundation 328 has become a partner in the effort. Most recently, Magic Moments, an Alabama-based organization that grants wishes, has been participating. Mobile’s own Skeleton Krewe – a Joe Cain Day walking group – volunteers to carry the signs in front of each MOB float. After the parade, there’s a kid-friendly after-party, usually at Mobile Carnival Museum, to celebrate the participating families and thank the sponsors.

“It’s hard work putting it all together, but we try to make it fun,” Jennifer McClain Bexley, coordinator of Miracle on the Bay, said. “It’s supposed to be about having fun and doing something good.”

In 2026, Miracle on the Bay will roll on Feb. 9, right after the Order of Venus. The parade will include 12 floats, all rented from the Conde Cavaliers.

In 2025, Miracle on the Bay rolled on Feb. 24, right after the Order of Venus. The parade included 11 floats from the Conde Cavaliers.
