2026 Parade: Friday, January 30, 2026, 6:30 pm
Parade Route: Route A
2026 Ball: January 30, 2026, Mobile Convention Center

Founded in 1977, the Conde Cavaliers open the downtown Mobile parading season. Members proudly point out they held a ball and a parade in their first year. The organization is named after the celebrated French general, Prince de Conde, for whom Fort Conde in downtown Mobile was named. It’s a large group, and these gents like to throw. One of the group’s four permanent floats, the Conde Cavalier Express, is an impressive, self-propelled, four-unit train.

In 2026, the Condes will roll on Jan. 30, at 6:30 p.m. The theme is “Wild Wild West.” Their queen is Miss Savannah Adams, and her escort is David. Grand marshal is Mayor Spiro Cheriogotis. Costumes by Chili Peppers of Wilmer. The parade will include their four permanent floats, along with 12 themed floats by Royal Artists of New Orleans, who are celebrating their 50th year in business. Their ball will immediately follow at the Mobile Convention Center.

In 2025, the Condes rolled on Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m. with 19 floats by the Royal Artists. Their theme was a twist on Valentine’s Day: “You Give Love a Bad Name.” Costumes were by Chili Peppers.
